Various designs for releases on the Versatile label. Versatile Records is a parisian label that has been running for over 20 years. In electronic music terms, that’s not quite archaic, but it’s hard to think of many other French labels that have survived so long. Founded by Gilbert Cohen in 1996, Versatile has quietly anchored France’s dance scene, putting out music by I:Cube, Daft Punk, Laurent Garnier, Pépé Bradock, Joakim and DJ Gregory, while never becoming too attached to any particular sound, style or fad.
